Absolutely Superfluous Idea: A Party Town
Okay, first off: I do realize that the devs have more important work to do, this is just a suggestion for something fun.
And, also, sorry if this has been suggested before; I looked through the index thread as well as a search and I saw nothing that was in any way related.
Okay, here's my idea: Make an Island/Town that is in the Battle Isles chain, next to Balthazars Temple, the arena's, and the guild hall island. And it serves no purpose other than to provide a place with a nice atmosphere for people to just hang out. In the past few weeks, we all saw the success of the Ascalon Masquerade ball. As nice and as well put together as it was, it seemed like it was massively lacking in the atmosphere area. Somehow, devasted (post nuclearish) wasteland doesn't lend its self to a party. And after seeing the Kryta Bomber video, it seemed a shame that there wasn't a "Club Elona" anywhere on Tyria. I know that in the past, Marhans Grotton has served this purpose, Kodash Bazzar also served this purpose a few weeks ago when I was in that town a lot, and it seems that Shing Jea Monestary is the current haunt of bored players.
I picture a large, open area for dancing or whatever. Perhaps a cicular stage surrounded by water, like in the Kryta Bomber video. No industrialist scaffolding though; Stone obelisks perhaps. To the North (Or any other cardinal direction for that matter) a stone stairway leading down to a stunningly beautiful beach where you can go a relatively good distance into the water. Off to the side of the main area, a very large, well made amphitheatre, kind of like the Amphitheater outside Pre-Sear Ascalon, but much bigger and with actual seating area (not real seats, but steps large enough to sit on perhaps). And a podium for speaking; Gaile's new meeting place perhaps? The main area's could be covered in a large cloth tent, similar to the suspended cloth over the merchant and xunali areas in Kaineng Center.
And the setting it's self: I think something similar to the Astralarium on Istan. A late evening, the sun setting over the ocean. and a full star map, nothing fancy but a detailed starscape more so than the Astralrium has (look straight up in that town and you'll see what I mean). Tropical plants, and all the normal stuff. And I would like to add, it might be nice in this case to go away from the ruins look that the rest of the game has, and perhaps have nice stonework that looks like it has been maintained within the last century or so; a mix of Presear Ascalon and Istani maybe. Oh, and all of it lit with the flickering light of lots of fire.. FIRE!! HAHAHA!.. ahem... as well as the setting sun from the beach side.
Anyway, tell me what you think. I realize this is kind of an uneccesary idea, and as I said it is more for fun than anything else.

Except that the Great Temple of Balthazar already seems to be sort of a party area.

Maybe with a place to call their own, immature idiots won't be as prevalent in every other easily reached town...

A proper party town sounds good, and as it will be accessible from all campaigns, means that halloween, christmas celebrations etc will be accesible to everyone, even if not hosted in a specific campaign
And having a nice relaxing area sound good. May even become a new trade hub, clearing out Kamadan, Kaineng, Shing Jea and LA a fair bit. tho that would ruin the relaxing effect

Schedule, 24/7 Senseless Partying, Schedule would only change cause of Holidays.
Yay^^!, And if it is your Birthday in the Game you gain a Prize and if it is your Birthday in RL then you get something more special^^!
And thier would be full of NPCs with Ale, Firecracker and etc!
And their is a small chance that in everything in the NPC's Inventory are Free!
Like 2.5% chance of this happening?

i would love to see free fireworks currently i dont use them cause there is no way im paying gold for something that just goes woosh bang done.... but if they were free ALL HELL YEA that would be cool.
as far as op YES YES YES, im so tired of the main towns getting all full and such on holidays, this would solve that. also this would allow for people who get bored to go screw around.
screw you second life, my social game allows me to kills shit >.>

Hmm, just thought......monsters drop collectable customised vouchers that give discounts on alcohol, fireworks or sweets (customised) purchased at the party outpost. It would help with some titles, and if it's all customised it wouldn't affect the economy.

If this outpost would be the one location that hosts festivals accessible by anyone regardless of what campaign(s) they own, and can be used by Gaile when she wants to have her drop-in sessions to converse with the masses, then maybe we can have the outpost as the one place in the game where there is a permanent ANet moderator who can pounce on anyone who tries to trade there....
When you click on an outpost on the map, you get a pop-up box that gives info about that location. Stick a message in there saying "Trading is banned in this location. Your account will be locked if you try to trade here" so that players will know what will happen. Even Nightclubs have bouncers.....
